1. Who is responsible
Dusklayer ("Dusklayer", "we", "us") runs the Dusklayer library at this website.
We decide what happens to the personal information described here, and we are the ones to ask about it.
2. What we collect today
- What you send us: your email and plan choice on the founding list, your email for the weekly layers email, and your name, email and message when you write to us. These are stored by Netlify, which hosts the site.
- Server logs: our host records IP addresses and browser details for security and to keep the site running, and keeps them for a limited time.
That is all. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
3. In your own browser
When you pick a look or change brand values on a layer page, your browser keeps them in session storage so the full page viewer shows the same thing. That data never leaves your browser and is cleared when you close the tab.
4. Third parties the pages load
Fonts come from Google Fonts and two libraries come from jsDelivr. Like any web request, these send your IP address to those providers. We send them nothing else.
5. When accounts open
We will store your email, your plan and daily usage counts, so the fair use limits work. Payments go through Stripe, which gives us the last four digits and expiry date of your card, never the full number.
6. How we use it
To answer you, to send the one email when checkout opens, to send the weekly layers email if you asked for it, and to run your account. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
7. How long we keep it
The founding list until 12 months after launch, unless you ask us to remove you sooner. Messages for 24 months. Account data while your account is open and for as long after as tax and accounting rules require.
8. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or take back your consent to emails at any time. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, our legal basis is your consent for the lists, our legitimate interest for answering messages and keeping the site secure, and our contract with you for accounts. If you are in California, you have the right to know, to delete, to correct and to opt out of sale; we do not sell personal information.
9. Children
The site is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
10. Where it is processed
Our processors, Netlify, Stripe, Google and jsDelivr, may process data in the United States and other countries, under their own safeguards.
11. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and we email you if the change affects data you gave us. Write to us through the contact page or at hello@dusklayer.com.
